Authorities announced they had arrested Tyler Robinson in St. George, Utah, and accused him of the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Tyler James Robinson is in custody for allegedly fatally shooting conservative icon Charlie Kirk during a UVU debate.

Footage captured several marked and unmarked law enforcement cars parked inside a police-taped-off area outside the townhouse.

Neighbours recalled that Tyler Robinson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, adding that he regularly attended church with his family as a child

Following a two-day manhunt, a suspect in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was arrested early on September 12. Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, was identified by officials on Friday morning. Officials said he confessed to the shooting to a family member, and they have physical evidence linking him to the murder.

On Wednesday 10th September Charlie Kirk was shot dead at a university campus in Utah. Charlie Kirk was a conservative activist who founded the student organisation, Turning Point USA. It aims to spread conservative ideas in liberal universities and now has chapters at more than 850 colleges.
