While four of the rescued Border Road Organisation workers died on Saturday, rescuers continued to search for the remaining four workers, believed to be trapped under snow.

With today's rescue, 47 people out of the 55 trapped under the avalanche have been rescued. Efforts are underway to rescue the remaining eight.

A massive avalanche struck a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) labour camp in Mana village, Uttarakhand, early on Friday morning, trapping 57 workers under the snow. Since then, a massive multi-agency rescue operation has been underway to bring the trapped workers to safety.
