Jazz Chisholm Jr. homered twice and drove in four runs, and Cam Schlittler won his impressive major league debut as the New York Yankees beat the Seattle Mariners 9-6.

Originally a seventh-round pick out of Northeastern in 2022, Schlittler made significant strides this season. He pitched to a 2.82 ERA with 99 strikeouts in 76.2 innings over 15 minor-league appearances, the final five of which came at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Cam Schlittler delivered what the Yankees needed in his MLB debut, lighting up the radar gun often enough for fans to utter, “Holy Schlitt.”
