The Boston Celtics are listening to trade offers for recent acquisition Anfernee Simons, who was part of the Jrue Holiday trade to the Portland Trail Blazers last month in a cost-cutting move. Simons averaged 19.3 points and 4.8 assists last season and is on an expiring deal worth $27.7 million.
Brad Stevens had high praise for Jrue Holiday after trading him from the Celtics to the Trail Blazers this offseason.
The 76ers will be paired with two of their Atlantic Division rivals in the 2025 NBA Cup. They’re in the East Group B with the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, and division foes Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets for the third annual in-season tournament.
The Celtics already have their first few games of the 2025-26 season on the schedule, though they're just exhibition games for now.
The Cavs -- the Eastern Conference favorites in July (+245 on DraftKings) -- have essentially turned Ty Jerome and Isaac Okoro into Lonzo Ball and Larry Nance Jr. The new players certainly come with more medical risks (though Jerome is no slouch in that department), but they bring decidedly different looks to Cleveland.
