Bournemouth won a thrilling, physical game at St James' Park with Kluivert's hat trick ending Newcastle's long winning run.

Kluivert's second and third goals were self-inflicted as Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon lost possession in the build-up, before Milos Kerkez rubbed further salt into the Magpies' wounds in second-half stoppage time. It was a chastening defeat for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, against the club where he was revered as a player and manager.
