San Diego Padres center fielder Jackson Merrill, who was seen wearing a wrap after Thursday night's loss to the Yankees, provided an update on the injury.

Cody Bellinger’s towering solo home run with one out in the seventh was the Yankees’ first hit against Cease, a game-tying solo shot into the second deck in right. Cease struck out nine in the loss for San Diego, walking two batters with the one hit allowed. He was removed from the game one batter after Bellinger’s blast with an apparent injury.
