Police in San Jose are investigating the city's first homicide of 2026 after a teen was fatally shot in a parking lot over the weekend.

San Jose detectives have arrested a 17-year-old in Santa Clara, naming him the third suspect in the July killing of college football player Raymond Orozco. The 22-year-old was stabbed outside a downtown nightclub on July 20, 2025, and later died at a hospital after what police describe as a months-long, video-driven investigation.

Officers found a man suffering at least one gunshot wound at the scene, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The man, identified as Nicholas Tugangui, was driving southbound on a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle at an unknown speed when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control and crashed
