McLaurin injured his quad in Week 3 on an explosive 56-yard reception. He lunged toward the end zone in an attempt to score on the Las Vegas Raiders but came up just shy of the goal line and did not return to the game after being marked down at the 1-yard line.
The Commanders wade into Week 7 without two of their top three receivers yet again, while Deebo Samuel is also nursing an injury.
Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday. It is not a good sign for McLaurin as he was limited in Wednesday's practice, his first since Week 3. McLaurin injured his quadriceps while diving for the end zone in a game against the Raiders.
Head coach Kevin O'Connell announced Friday that Carson Wentz will start for the Vikings in Week 7 against Philadelphia. Max Brosmer will serve as the backup to Wentz, while McCarthy, who is still recovering from an ankle injury, will be the emergency quarterback.
