After the Yanks scored two runs in the top of the third to tie the game 3-3, Schmidt didn’t return for the fourth inning with his pitch count at 55.

The New York Yankees’ rotation may have taken a hit. Clarke Schmidt left Thursday night’s start against the Toronto Blue Jays after three innings and 55 pitches. The Yankees announced that Schmidt exited with right forearm tightness.
