Amazon.com is raising the pay of its fulfillment and transportation staff in the United States by at least $1.50 an hour and handing out free Prime memberships as benefits, it said on Wednesday.

Amazon’s warehouse workers and delivery drivers, the people critical to the company’s ability to get you things fast via Amazon Prime, will soon get Prime subscriptions as part of their employment. The new perk was revealed along with other benefit updates,

(CNN) – Amazon warehouse employees are getting a pay raise and free Prime membership. Amazon announced Wednesday the average starting wage has increased to more than $22 an hour, which is good news for the online retail giant’s more than 800,000 frontline employees. The company will also offer the $139 yearly Prime benefit to employees for free.
