Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's comments condemning finger-pointing and the importance of gun safety legislation are going viral in the wake of Charlie Kirk's death.

Charlie Kirk's killer was arrested overnight in Utah, officials announced Friday morning. Tyler Robinson, 22, is in custody based in part on a tip from his own father and will face charges for murdering the conservative political activist earlier this week.

The university said is a statement to CNN that Kirk was shot from a campus building 200 yards away from where he was speaking. The FBI are closing in on the shooter responsible for the assassination of Charlie Kirk, having tracked their movements in the immediate aftermath and found the high-powered rifle they believe was used.

Citing multiple reports, Parade Magazine said that Kirk was estimated to be worth $12 million. Celebrity Net Worth also estimated Kirk’s net worth to be $12 million while noting that he also wrote several books, and that his career in conservative politics and media began all the way back in 2012 when he was just 18 years old.

Charlie Kirk was fielding questions about gun violence at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday when he was shot.
