It’s now official: the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will be moving its headquarters out of the Police Memorial Building in Downtown and into the Florida Blue building in Brooklyn.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is set to expand its operations into the Florida Blue building on the Downtown Northbank, following unanimous approval from the City Council. The new office space will allow JSO to consolidate its staff and enhance operational efficiency.

JSO wants to vacate the Police Memorial Building on Bay Street. The agency plans to lease 346,588 square feet in Brooklyn after council OK'd the proposal.
