Prices in the UK rose by 3.2% in the year to November, down from 3.6% recorded in October. However, inflation remains well above the Bank of England's 2% target. The Bank moves interest rates up and down to try to keep inflation at that level. Six cuts since since August 2024 have brought rates down to 3.75%.
