Wildfires in Oklahoma have now burned more than 300,000 acres of land across the state after crews worked to contain fires in the Panhandle on into Wednesday, according to state officials.

Kansas wildfires on Tuesday whipped up a rare weather phenomenon — rotating columns of fire known as fire whirls.

Four firefighters were injured in Beaver County, three of whom were injured when a fire truck overturned.
