STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Penn State fired women's basketball coach Carolyn Kieger on Thursday after seven seasons. Kieger finishes with an 84-123 record. The Lady Lions went 11-18 this season and 4-14 in Big Ten play and did not make the 14-team field for the conference tournament.

Rutgers finished the regular season with a record of 13-18 overall and 6-14 in Big Ten action. The Scarlet Knights ended up in 14 th place, three spots ahead of where they were projected in the league’s preseason poll. They went 6-0 against the teams below them in the standings.
