By Dr Asanka Wijesinghe Now that the United States (US) election has concluded, what direction will the US’s trade policy be headed? This is one of the burning questions that many of its trading partners are asking in the aftermath of the presidential election.

Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's National People's Power raked in 41 percent or 9,066 votes in the Jaffna polling division, in significant win, leaving behind Tamil parties in the area.

We urge workers, students, youth and rural poor to vote for the SEP in this election to express their support for our international socialist perspective and on that basis prepare for the class struggles ahead.
