Diana Taurasi, the WNBA's all-time leading scorer, avoided the spectacle of retirement ceremonies and left the game on her own terms.

In addition to her three WNBA championships with the Mercury, Taurasi won six Euroleague championships while playing year-round most of her career. She was the 2009 WNBA MVP and is one of four players to earn WNBA Finals MVP honors more than once (2009, 2014).

Taurasi has been named to 14 All-WNBA teams, an all-time record. Taurasi is the only Olympian to represent the United States at six Summer Games, the most by a USA Basketball athlete. And she's got six gold medals, having won in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2021 and 2024.
