After a cloudy start, North Texas will see a sunny Sunday afternoon ahead of showers and severe storms late Monday into Tuesday.

The storms will arrive early Tuesday morning, potentially impacting the morning commute. The activity will move quickly into East Texas by Tuesday midday. Strong winds will develop by Tuesday afternoon. Gusts up and over 40 mph will be possible.

Storms are anticipated to move in as we close out Sunday. Expect a very windy day on Tuesday, with fire danger statements and wind advisories likely to be issued.

Warm weather continues in North Texas, but thunderstorms are expected Sunday evening, with severe weather likely overnight into Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service Fort Worth is warning of severe storms capable of producing large hail and even tornadoes in Texas next week.

While no severe weather is expected Sunday, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible across the region in the afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the weather service said there’s a medium chance to see them before midnight as well as wind gusts as high as 30 mph.
