Prepare for poor air quality from Canadian wildfire smoke and rising temperatures today, with rain and thunderstorms expected to return midweek.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy issued a statewide air quality alert over the weekend as Canadian wildfire smoke pushed into the state. The alert remains in effect through all of Monday as the smoke moves through the area,
