The Nevada Commission on Tourism (NCOT) has awarded 68 grants totaling more than $365,000 to help rural communities promote attractions that draw visitors and generate revenue for local economies.
The number of unhoused people in Nye County, the third largest rural county in the state by population, was slightly lower this year than last, but remains the highest among non-urban Nevada.
