While reports have mentioned that Beck entered the transfer portal with a "do not contact" tag, new details from On3Sports reveal that the Bulldogs attempted to keep Beck in-house and Georgia's rival, the Alabama Crimson Tide, also contacted Beck.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings also lost. That ensured 10 other former Alabama players — including Minkah Fitzpatrick, Najee Harris, Pat Surtain II, Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney — won’t be playing in Super Bowl LIX.

It appears Miami was not the only school interested in ex-Georgia football transfer Carson Beck when the quarterback entered his name into the transfer portal.
