Google Play said it restored TikTok to the US app store on Thursday, following promises by President Donald Trump to save the app and an executive action delaying the enactment of a ban on the wildly popular social media platform.
The Gulf of Mexico, the body of water that has been known by that name for more than 400 years, is now called the “Gulf of America” on both Apple Maps and Google Maps after Donald Trump decreed the name change.
Google said the Calendar edits were apolitical, but the company has already made other changes to bend to Donald Trump’s whims.

For U.S. Google Map users only, the body of water formerly known as the Gulf of Mexico will now appear as the Gulf of America when using the navigational service. The change comes just several weeks after President Donald Trump signed an executive order for the gulf to be renamed and on Sunday declared February 9 was officially Gulf of America Day.
Apple Maps is now displaying the name Gulf of America for the oceanic basin known as the Gulf of Mexico. Users in the United States can now see the new name on their devices running iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
