Authorities are working to untangle connections between a suspected vegan death cult called the Zizian and a string of murders across the country.

Proposed bills in California, Oregon and Vermont could force private-equity firms to sell some healthcare investments.

Three people were arrested in connection with a series of homicides in California and Pennsylvania as well as the shooting death earlier this year in Vermont of a U.S. border patrol agent.

The California-based group is tied to an attempted murder and six killings, including the shooting death of Border Patrol Agent David Maland who was killed during an exchange of gunfire in Vermont, 20 miles from the Canadian border.

The Zizians are tied to five separate murders in California, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. They are also suspected of killing David Maland, a U.S. Border Control agent, in a shootout during a routine traffic stop last month in Coventry,

Snyder is listed as in custody in the Solano County Jail in California. Attempts to reach family members of Snyder were not successful. On. Jan 20, in Vermont, U.S. Border Patrol agents stopped a vehicle carrying two people connected to the Ziz group.
