The United States is looking to sell more energy and defence equipment to India, Vice President JD Vance said on Tuesday on a visit to the country, adding that ties between the two countries will shape the century.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday called for enhanced engagement with India and said that the South Asian country should buy more defense equipment and energy from the U.S. and allow Washington greater access to its market,

He stated that President Trump aims to rebalance trade not just for India but also to pursue a stronger future with U.S. allies. Vance sees the agreement as helping create deeper, sustained collaboration among nations in energy, defense, and technology, which will be mutually beneficial to the U.S. and India.
