The Edmonton Oilers landed Isaac Howard in a massive trade, and now, the Los Angeles Kings have been called out for not pursuing the young winger as their fierce division rival upgrade when they desperately needed to do so instead.

The veteran winger signed a one-year contract worth $3 million with the Sharks in free agency, the team announced Friday. Skinner, who turned 33 in May, is heading into his 16th NHL season. He posted 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 72 games with the Oilers before spending most of the team's run to the Stanley Cup Final as a healthy scratch.
