Stellantis has introduced STLA AutoDrive, an advanced autonomous driving technology offering hands-free, eyes-off driving up to 37 mph. The new SAE Level 3 system is designed for ease in dense urban traffic, enabling drivers to engage safely in activities like watching a movie, reading, or catching up on emails.

Stellantis has recently (and proudly) unveiled its new STLA AutoDrive 1.0, an automated driving system developed in-house that offers hands-free and eyes-off functionality and is classified as SAE Level 3.

Stellantis has debuted its new AutoDrive 1.0 driving system, which is a big step forward in autonomous driving for production cars. It rivals GM's Super Cruise.

Hands-free and eyes-off (SAE Level 3) functionality is available up to 37 mph, even at night and in challenging weather conditions, Stellantis said.

Stellantis has introduced its latest step towards autonomous driving: STLA AutoDrive 1.0, a hands-free, eyes-off driving system that meets SAE Level 3 automation standards. The system, however, is currently limited to speeds of 37 mph and is not yet scheduled for commercial release.

The Stellantis Group has revealed that it is developing its first in-house automated driving technology – STLA AutoDrive.The system will allow a vehicle to be driven autonomously at speeds of up to 60 km/h in urban areas and 95 km/h on motorways.
