The man charged with two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of longtime American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, musician Thomas DeLuca, used the own couple's gun against them and then called authorities on his cellphone, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has alleged.

"Mr. Boodarian got caught because he used his cell phone to contact police concerning the situation, actually identified himself by name," Hochman said during the meeting.
