Russia launched four missiles and 136 drones into Ukraine overnight into Monday morning, according to Ukraine's air force, after President Donald Trump said the U.S. would provide Kyiv with more Patriot surface-to-air systems to help defend against Russia's nightly bombardments.

The White House announced earlier this month that it would pause the shipment of certain weapons to Kiev, but changed its stance on Sunday by announcing an agreement where NATO will pay for the weapons sent to Ukraine.

President Donald Trump said the US will send more Patriot air-defense batteries to Ukraine, which Kyiv has said it needs to protect itself from Russian airstrikes.
