Friday will bring more chances of rain and snow. Thursday's forecast high for downtown Sacramento is 63 degrees, a slight increase from 61 degrees recorded Wednesday. The average for this time of year is 66 degrees. The Foothills are expected to peak in the mid-to-upper 50s, while the Sierra will see highs in the mid-40s.

A couple more rounds of rain and snow are in the forecast this week for Northern California. Rainfall will be beneficial, but snow could cause more travel issues in the Sierra. Monday night through Tuesday will be dry. Travel delays are still possible in the Sierra for elevations above 6000 feet.
