A highway sign appeared to fall across Interstate 45 near downtown Dallas, shutting down northbound traffic Friday morning. The incident happened on I-45 near Interstate 30 around 11:30 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The Dallas Sheriff's Office said the highway will likely be closed for six to eight hours to get the sign disassembled and removed.
