San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was cleared for Sunday after spending the last five weeks on the injured reserve. Despite the team's win over the Atlanta Falcons, Kittle did not record a single catch.

And Kittle is well aware of that. Speaking to reporters after the game, the energized tight end playfully apologized to fantasy players that put him in their lineups on Sunday, as well as the bettors who put money on him having a big game. Because to hear Kittle tell it, he thought he was going to have a big game, too.

Niners tight end George Kittle was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after he left Sunday’s 17-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Reports Monday suggested the injury would sideline Kittle for multiple weeks.
