Marvel Snap” is a casualty of the U.S. government’s move to ban TikTok over fears about its Chinese parent company. It’s not just TikTok that winked offline for U.S. users Saturday, just hours before the Jan.

In a statement, developers Second Dinner and publisher Nuverse said the game was unexpectedly impacted by the takedown of TikTok on Saturday, Jan. 18.

The superhero card battler is still available on Steam, but the game got Thanos-snapped out of Apple and Google’s stores because its publisher is owned by ByteDance.

Marvel Snap has now been banned in the US alongside TikTok, thanks to an association with the social media platform's parent company ByteDance, catching players off guard.
