The new mobile Photoshop for iPhone app is impressive, but here's what it's missing compared to the real thing

The long-overdue Photoshop mobile app has finally arrived. It's full of the tools you know and love, but feels entirely different.

Adobe announced on Tuesday that it's bringing its popular design and editing software Photoshop to mobile, starting with iOS.

Five years after Photoshop landed on the iPad, Adobe has finally brought its popular photo editing software to the iPhone.

Adobe is bringing a full-fledged version of Photoshop to Android, which has less features than the desktop version but many more than Express.

While the mobile app is free, Adobe is also launching a "Photoshop Mobile & Web" plan via the App Store. Signing up for this plan unlocks premium mobile features and access to the web browser version. You can sync between the web and mobile version of Photoshop.

But while Photoshop has been available on computers and tablets for some time now, those looking to edit images on their smartphones have had to make due with alternative programs—or simply stick to their other devices instead.
