JAIPUR: AICC general secretary Sachin Pilot on Wednesday called upon the Government of India to clarify its stance on US President Donald Trump's remarks regarding mediation between India and Pakistan.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh questions whether Donald Trump coerced India into a ceasefire with Pakistan, citing Trump's claims of brokering the agreement. India firmly rebuts US claims, maintaining that any ceasefire discussions originated from Pakistan's DGMO.
A series of military strikes last week by India and Pakistan brought the nuclear-armed rivals closer to a broader war.
Pakistan's government press office told NBC News that it had targeted and destroyed a missile storage site, an air base, and an airfield inside India near the border. It also said it had launched a cyber operation, claiming to have hacked several Indian government websites.
