The Danville Fire Dept. is currently accepting applications for their Citizens Fire Academy which begins in March. We spoke with Deputy Chief Brandyn Smith about what you can expect to experience as part of the academy. Deadline to submit your application is February 10th. You must be 21 years old and live or work in the City of Danville to apply. EF&R, Fall City Fire, KCSO and Whidby Navel Helicopter Team worked to rescue two drivers caught in the swiftwaters. One ended up on the roof of their vehicle and the other in a tree.
