Louie checking in 💙 When Louie came to us, he was pretty sick. After many diagnostics, he was diagnosed with a fungal disease called histoplasmosis. It’s affected many parts of his body: his eye, his head, his limbs, and unfortunately now we suspect the infection is in his kidneys based on his recent bloodwork and urine results. He’s starting yet another medication, and we’ll see what happens. It’s frustrating that this disease can take over so many parts of their body… just from sniffing bird
