Ho Cakes 2 cups cornmeal 2 teaspoons sugar 1 egg 1/2 cup milk 1 cup boiling hot water 1 cup oil ( I use evoo extra virgin olive oil) Add cornmeal, sugar, egg, milk and water to a bowl. Mix it all together. Add oil 1 tbsp at at time to a hot skillet then pour about a 1/2 cup of the batter into the skillet at a time to make your cakes.
