Out of all the Hydrangeas, these Hydrangea paniculata “limelight” plants are some of the most hardy in winter. When we say 'hardy' this is talking about their ability to survive adverse growing conditions. PRUNING HYDRANGEA ARBORESCENS‘ANNABELLE’ & HYDRANGEAS PANICULATA _______________________________🧚🏻Hydrangea arborescens and paniculata bloom on new wood so dormant pruning does not reduce blossoms. TOP TIP!!!⬇️🧚🏻If you cut your hydrangeas all the way back to the ground, your plants will produce less flowers, but they’ll be very large. 🧚🏻If you cut back 1/3 of the plant, your hydrangeas will produce more flowers and they will be smaller. I personally prefer smaller blooms on sturdier stems
