Sometimes my scaffold setups aren’t ideal. I’ve always hated climbing over ladder jacks (ladder jacks are the adjustable aluminum brackets that hook onto the ladder rungs to support the plank). In this case it was safer to have the ladder jacks on the outside of the ladder since the roof would be slippery for the ladder to lean on and it would put me farther away from the wall. The owner’s hot tub canopy was in the way so there was not really any other way I could set up. I’m glad for built in k
