The Ancient Maya were an impressive people! The calendar, their temples, writing systems and language Then came the conquistadores with their disease, beliefs and religion. Today, the Maya is still thriving living beautifully in harmony with Mother earth here in Belize carrying on their tradition, language, dress and food! I am humbled that I can walk in their homes and enjoys their hospitality. While the women make tortillas and the men till the farm for corn 🌽, one young boy sits in a hammock
