#OnThisDate in 1955, the CBS television show "Sergeant Preston Of The Yukon" debuted. The program follows a Canadian Mountie named Sgt. Preston who patrols the wilds of the Yukon with his horse Rex and faithful dog Yukon King, battling both the elements & criminals.
