Kennedy and her brother Lincoln have a rare disease called MPS1, hurler syndrome. MPS1 causes the body to not produce certain enzymes that are needed in the breakdown of the body’s garbage. Essentially, the garbage builds up with no garbage truck to take it out. This has an effect on every part of the body, shortening life expectancy. There is no cure for MPS1.
