They live in parts of sub-Saharan Africa, Southwest Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. Though they are relatively small (about 11-12 inches at the shoulder), they have incredibly thick, loose skin which helps them twist and turn if grabbed, and tough resistance to bites and stings. They’ll take on dangerous animals much bigger than themselves
